Haley Slouka came up big each time to deny them. The Royals then created their best opportunity in the 30th minute but the shot from
Lauren Lizarraga was saved as the game went into halftime 0-0. The Mustangs continued to create more chances in the second half as they opened the scoring in the 59th minute to take a 1-0 lead. The Royals didn't give up and continued to battle, but it would be the Mustangs who would add two more goals as the Royals fell 3-0.
The Royals continue GSAC play on the road as they travel up the coast to Santa Barbara, CA to take on Westmont College on Saturday, October 15 at 12:30 PM.
