CHRISTINA REMIJIO

Christina Remijio

Christina enters her second year as the Head Competitive Dance Coach after being named the inaugural head coach in 2019. In the program's first year Christiana led the dance team to their first national competition and placed 7th overall. Prior to HIU Christina had experience teaching at dance studios and choreographing routines for high school dance teams. In addition, she helped choreograph and teach routines to her fellow college teammates, at Midland University, for game day performances, concept videos, and competitions.

Christina has been dancing since she was five years old. During her collegiate career, she was on the competition team at Midland University for three years. All three years of her collegiate dancing career her team placed in the top three at NAIA Nationals. During her sophomore season, her team won the NAIA Nationals (the first year dance and cheer were considered official sports in the NAIA).

Upon Christina's graduation in 2018 she auditioned for the LA Clippers dance team, made the team, and moved to California two weeks later. Christina was part of the LA Clippers dance team for a season until she became the Head Coach at Hope.
