HIU Competitive Dance Welcomes Three New Dancers

Fullerton, Calif.- HIU Competitive Dance welcomes three new dancers to their team for the 2020-2021 season.

"I'm looking forward to having so many new dancers on the team and continue working with the vets. They are more than dedicated and I'm excited to see their growth throughout the season and years to follow", said Head Coach Christina Remijilo.

Grace Craig

Santa Ana, CA/ Godinez HS

"Grace is a powerhouse! She is both an incoming dancer AND softball player at Hope. Her strength and athleticism has shown well over our Zoom practices this summer & I'm excited to have her on the team!", Christina Remijilo

Mackenzy Jespersen

Fullerton, CA/ Buena Park HS

"Having Mackenzy on the team so far has been such a joy. She is kind, patient, and is so hard-working. Her background is cheerleading, which is a lot different from dance. However, she has adapted well and I can't wait to see her growth this season!", Christina Remijilo.

Eden League

Tulare, CA/ Mission Oak HS

"I'm very excited to work with Eden. She has style, technique, and such a strong work ethic. Her dedication and passion will take her far, and I'm excited to watch her thrive this year!" Christina Remijilo.

Last year HIU Dance competed at the USA Collegiate Nationals in Anaheim, CA, and placed 7th overall. With the new season looking different than usual, the team had been working out and practicing via Zoom six hours a week during the summer. The HIU dance team is now back together on campus and working hard to prepare for another successful year.
