Asia Chacon led things off with a double and then reached third on an error. Sarah Reisler then forced an error to put the Royals ahead 1-0. Puente then struck out the side in the top of the second while the Royals added to their lead in the bottom half with a sac fly by Smith to make it 3-0.

Puente then worked around a single and a walk in the top of the third to retire the Firebirds while the Royals offense broke the game open. The Royals loaded the bases to start the inning and forced across a run on a hit batter to make it 4-0. Arely Coronado would then force an error to score two more runs and make it 6-0. Chacon then delivered a sac fly to make it 7-0 before an RBI single by Smith made it 8-0. The Royals would tack on two more runs on another error to take a 10-0 lead.

The Firebirds looked to answer in the top of the fifth but Puente shut them down working around two singles as she retired the side to seal a 10-0 win.

Game 2:
Grace Craig got the start and pitched 5 1/3 innings allowing four runs on five hits while striking out seven. Allie Puente (16-6) picked up the win in relief pitching 1 2/3 innings allowing two runs on one hit while walking one and striking out five. Asia Chacon led the offense going 1-for-4 with two RBIs.

It was a scoreless game until the bottom of the third when Samantha Villanueva launched a two out home run to put the Royals up 1-0. That lead didn't last long as the Firebirds took advantage of a pair of errors to score three runs and take a 3-1 lead. The Royals tried to fight back but it was the Firebirds who added to their lead with another run in the top of the sixth to make it 4-1.

The Royals weren't about to go down without a fight as Villanueva started a one out rally with a single as the Royals proceeded to load the bases. Natalie Corrales then delivered a one out RBI single to make it 4-2. A hit batter then made it 4-3 before Chacon ripped a two run double to put the Royals up 5-4. Sarah Reisler then delivered a sac fly to increase the Royals lead to 6-4.

The Firebirds weren't done either as they battled back to tie it 6-6 in the top of the seventh. The Royals weren't about to prolong the game any more than necessary as Emma McCraw led off with a double. After a sac bunt moved the runner to third Ariana Coronado came through with a walk off sac fly as the Royals won 7-6.
