NEWBURG, Ore. – Hope International STUNT traveled to the annual Pacific Northwest Open and easily dominated each opponent over the weekend.
First up was the host school George Fox. HIU dominated the Bruins in a 29-11 win. Power players for the game were Sophia Rosendale, Meela Ly, Andra Brenneman and Giselle Baeza. The Royals improved their lifetime record to 4-0 against the Bruins.
HIU next faced Texas Woman's for the second time this season. The Royals prevailed against the Pioneers once again with a 27-10 victory. Power players were Baeza, Brenneman, Ly, Rosendale and Sydney Loeff.Â
The second day of the tournament brought two new opponents for the Royals. Northwest Nazarene – a first-year program – showed up strong, but the Royals still dominated and won 21-5. The power players were Sophia Gonzalez, Rosendale, Baeza and Brenneman.Â
The Royals concluded the tournament against Saint Mary's (Ind.). HIU closed strongly with a 21-1 victory versus the Belles. Power players were Ly, Rosendale, Brenneman, Baeza and Addy Drumond.
Hope International next hosts CUI and Vanguard on Monday at 6:30 and 7:45 p.m., respectively.
