FULLERTON – Hope International STUNT's last home games of the season celebrated victories against CUI and Vanguard as well as the careers of 10 seniors.
The evening began with honoring the hard work and dedication of Mackenzie Flowers, Sami Cohen, Jessica Bustamante, Lindsea Britton, Janae Varela, Aly Lorenzo, Ivy Martinez, Monse Gonzalez, Zoe Kays and Alexus Collins.Â
Surrounded by friends, family and teammates these 10 amazing athletes played their last games in the Darling Pavilion.Â
The Royals competed first against CUI. Always a close match, but the Royals maintained control of the scoreboard throughout the evening against the Screaming Eagles with a 32-14 triumph, featuring many "within twos."
Power players for the game were Sophia Rosendale, Addy Drumond, Giselle Baeza, Sophia Gonzalez and Grace Brassfield. The Royals and the Screaming Eagles are now tied up at 3-3 in the all-time meetings.
HIU concluded the evening against Vanguard, quickly showcasing their dominance and posting a 24-3 win.Â
The power players were Rosendale, Baeza, Andra Brenneman, Drumond and Gonzalez. The overall record between HIU and VU now stands at 5-7.
HIU's season record jumped to 19-2.Â
The Royals head to the Music City Classic this weekend where they will face off against Missouri State, Tiffin, East Stroudsburg and Central Arkansas.Â
