GLENDALE, Ariz. – Hope International finished fourth among eighth teams at the Great Southwest Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Sahuaro Ranch Park.
The Royals tallied 139 points, 24 ahead of fifth place Soka.
Sophomore Daniel Perez turned in the top finish for the Royals, running the 8K course in 26:38.4 for 21st place.
Fellow sophomore Caleb Ornelas was the next HIU finisher in 32nd place, posting a time of 28:08.8.
Junior Andy Avalos clocked 30:50.5 for 42nd place, followed by Brandon Parra in 52nd (35:08.4) and Luis Diaz in 54th (35:38.9).
The Master's took the team title with 23 points, and Mustang senior Jack Anderson was individual medalist in a time of 24:26.2.
