ROME, Ga. – Freshman Ayala Stephens represented Hope International women's tennis at the prestigious ITA Cup, held at the Rome Tennis Center on the campus of Berry College.

Stephens, an automatic qualifier into the 32-player field on the basis of winning the West Regional, took on Violet Apish of Keiser (Fla.) in the round of 16 on Thursday. Stephens lost the match by scores of 6-0, 6-2.

Stephens qualified for the ITA Cup after defeating opponents from Stanton and OUAZ in the West Regional. Regional winners from around the country plus at-large selections made into the ITA Cup field.

The 2025-26 season will continue for Stephens in the spring.
